i'm scared of what's to come.
of what he'll say
and how he'll say it.

i'm afraid for my heart.
my already broken heart.
i thought you'd mend it.
but, i feel that you're slowly letting go.
giving up.

are you afraid of me?
that must be it.
i've done nothing wrong.
but, yet you run and hide from me.

i've asked for your heart.
and, you've left no reply.

shall i continue to pursue.
or go home empty handed.
and continue my search.

even if i know it's wrong.
when i know that you could be right.
do i get a chance?
shall i prove myself?

will you let me?
confusion is manifested in me.
and, i hate not seeing clearly.
is this all a blur?

correct my vision.
and help me see only truth.

A question we ask ourselves all too often. Once again you already know my thoughts on that subject. So I will comment on the poem. It flows excellently, and that's what I look for the most in poetry.

thank you. i actually really like this one myself.

That's good. It's very nice to like your own work.

yes..i love all my work. but, i will admit some things i have written knowing that they weren't all that great. but, that's rarely. only when i just write to write. usually i write out of emotion. and that's where basically all of my writing comes from....and, suddenly i've started to feel that all of my writing is generally speaking the same message. just in different ways. is that bad?

To think you're just writing the same thing over and over again is only bad if you don't want to do such a thing. But all writing can be ruled down to a few general themes, and if that's what you're worrying about, then you should look at the specific themes. Much of your writing is about suffering because of false or unrequited love. But in my opinion, if you can still be inspired to write about something, then you still have more to say. I myself try to stop myself about writing about one thing multiple times (that's why the topics in my poems varies so much). But my unposted work repeats itself quite often (woo!!).

This is great. You expressed how i've felt at times almost exactly! It's wonderful.

yeah. i guess sense i write from personal experience. i couldn't possibly change the themes of my poems unless my personal experiences changed! oh well.
